Local soul outfit ‘The Hemispheres’ might as well be Chicago’s answer to the Dap-Kings
The number one things people still talk to Kelly and I about since the wedding is the band. To say they were a hit would be an understatement of the year. Kelly and I have been fans of the Hemispheres for a long time. We were extremely geeked when we found they were available for our wedding. Once we booked them everything went smooth as butter. Their experience in the music industry coupled with their wedding experience made planning and execution a complete breeze. They are true pros and need very little instruction other than to point them in the right direction.Oh and they sound amazing. This is the closet thing you’ll get to a 60s juke joint without a time machine. They truly made our night one of a kind. We wanted a party for a reception and thanks to the Hemispheres, that’s what we got.
We loved having The Hemispheres play our wedding...it was epic! Being musicians and music lovers, it was important that our wedding band would play tunes everyone would know and would keep the party energy going on the dance floor throughout the evening. The regular communications with Pat and TJ leading up to the big day gave us confidence that the band would be committed to performing, as they would in concert or in a club. Great musicians and singers...we received tons of compliments on our wedding night that The Hemispheres were the best band our guests had seen perform at a wedding. And...they even allowed us to help customize the set list! The Hemispheres’ unique personal touches, top-notch professionalism and performance perfection exceeded our expectations and gave us the amazing wedding night memories we envisioned leading up to our big day. Thanks guys!
We had The Hemisphere’s play our wedding in 2015 and attendees are still asking us for the band’s contact information. Our family and friends will never forget the music that made the night complete. The Hemisphere’s can get people moving across multiple generations and that isn’t easily accomplished.
A truly electric performance that two years later, people still talk about. You just can’t get a show like that with a DJ. Best wedding ever!
We have always been fans of the The Hemispheres, from their epic shows at Beat Kitchen. After we got engaged we had to get them locked down for our wedding in June of 2016. Patrick was fantastic the entire process. Met with us for a cocktail to chat about the evening and logistics. Our friends would ask who our band was - let’s just say people were getting pumped at the answer. The big day came and they were there with bells on. They even allowed our groupie friends on stage for some assistance through longer ballads. To cap it all off, we had a 14 minute rendition of “Higher & Higher” for the most epic end of our wedding. If you want to get your parents and friends on the dance floor for Motown goodness, don’t be dumb and book these amazing dudes.
We worked with the Hemispheres for our wedding in August of 2016. First let me say, they are not a “wedding band”. They are an insanely talented group of musicians who’s soulful sound and upbeat music will get everyone - whether they are 8 or 80 - moving. Luckily for us, they also happen to play weddings.Working with The Hemispheres was a breeze from start to finish. They have a can-do approach and took on our untraditional venue (small, outside, acoustically challenged) and figured out a solution to make it work. They brought the house down on the night of our wedding. Both my 11 year old nephew and my 67 year old uncle said that it was some of the best entertainment they have ever experienced. We can’t thank the Hemispheres enough for making our wedding unforgettable. They were overly accommodating to ensure that the music did not stop! We would work with them again in a heartbeat for any event or celebration.
